When it comes to shorts we work towards two main goals: 1. Making them as comfortable as possible and 2: Making them look good. To try achieving both these things, we mostly work with cotton, add plenty of pockets, use drawstrings and waistbands where possible and make the fits perfect.
Funny graphic shorts, printed to order in Sydney. Most of this collection is our Regular Heavy Shorts: 320 GSM 100% cotton sweat shorts with a ribbed waistband, a drawcord that actually works, two side pockets and double needle hems, preshrunk so they keep their shape. The artwork usually sits on the left leg, and it is the same hand drawn stuff as the rest of the store: bread, the sloth family, magpies and ibises, memes, and collaborations with artists like Aley Wild, Shuturp, PurplePingers and Bridget Farmer.
Fits are gender neutral. Regular Heavy Shorts run XS to 3XL on most designs, and the Maple Heavy Shorts are a shorter cut on selected designs. Most pairs are $55, Australian shipping is free over $85, and you have 100 days to swap a size. Size charts in centimetres are on every product page.
Nearly every design here has a matching top, so you can pair your shorts with the same design on a graphic tee or a hoodie, or go the other way and clash on purpose. For the colder months the same prints come on track pants, and the whole lower half of the range lives in bottoms.
Care is simple: cold wash inside out, line dry or tumble low, and no iron over the print. Everything is printed with water based, OEKO-TEX certified inks on AS Colour blanks, in our own studio, after you order it, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be discounted.
Every pair is printed to order in our Sydney studio after you order, with water based, OEKO-TEX certified inks, then checked by hand. The blank shorts are made overseas by AS Colour, so we say printed in Sydney rather than made in Australia. Each product page lists the exact spec, and a few older styles like boardwalk and jersey shorts are still around at lower prices.
Regular Heavy Shorts are a relaxed, gender neutral cut in XS to 3XL on most designs (S to 3XL on some). Maple Heavy Shorts are a shorter, more traditionally feminine cut on selected designs. Size as normal, and the size chart in centimetres is on every product page.
On most designs the artwork sits on the left leg, and some collaborations carry a full front print. Photos on each product page show exactly where it lands.

Yes. Many bestselling designs are available on track pants and on regular, oversized, maple and crop tees, so you can match, or deliberately clash. Track pants live in the track pants collection and the whole lower half lives in bottoms.
Allow up to seven business days for printing before they ship from Sydney, then AusPost standard takes about 2 to 10 business days and express 1 to 3. Standard shipping is free on Australian orders over $85, otherwise $8.50, express is a flat $15, and Sydney locals can pick up from the studio. International orders ship with Australia Post International.
