100% OF PROFITS TO COMBATING FIRST NATIONS HOMELESSNESS

Invasion Day shirts, totes, hoodies and accessories made in solidarity with First Nations communities. For many, the 26th of January is not a date to celebrate, and this collection exists to say so plainly and to put money where it is needed. Every design is a statement you can wear, and every dollar of profit goes to the cause.

DJ Kirra is an Aboriginal artist and activist, from Gimuy (Cairns) and currently based in Naarm (Melbourne). He provides grassroots support and emergency aid to First Nations families who are struggling with housing and securing accommodation, mostly in Far North Queensland.

We have partnered with DJ Kirra over several Invasion Day and NAIDOC fundraisers, but profits from this collection are directed to his efforts all year round. You can find more from DJ Kirra on Instagram at @deejkirraart.

The designs

The collection carries the messages that matter on the day and every day. Always Was, Always Will Be runs across tees, hoodies, jumpers, totes, caps and hats, alongside Stolen Land, Treaty Now, Thou Shalt Not Steal, Not A Date To Celebrate and Unaustralian. Most come in adult and kids sizes, so families can stand together. These are not subtle, and they are not meant to be.

Where the money goes

One hundred percent of profits from this collection go to DJ Kirra's grassroots work supporting First Nations families facing homelessness, primarily in Far North Queensland. Not a portion, not a season, all profits, all year. Buying here is a direct contribution to that work.

About this collection

Who is DJ Kirra?

DJ Kirra is an Aboriginal artist and activist from Gimuy (Cairns), currently based in Naarm (Melbourne), who provides grassroots support and emergency aid to First Nations families facing homelessness. We have partnered with them across several Invasion Day and NAIDOC fundraisers.

What does "Always Was, Always Will Be" mean?

It is a statement of First Nations sovereignty: that this land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. It is one of the most recognised phrases of the movement, and one of the core designs in this collection.

How are the shirts made?

Printed to order in our Sydney studio on AS Colour blanks using OEKO-TEX certified inks, carbon neutral since 2021. Because each piece is made to order, allow a little time before it ships. Shipping details are on our shipping page.
