R U OK Day

Hey cheese bags,

Today is R U OK Day. It can feel a bit unusual to put so much focus on one date when looking out for each other should happen all the time. Your wellbeing matters to us every single day, not just today.

At LKC, mental health has always been part of our story. Nobody on our team fits the textbook definition of “typical” and we have always been open about the fact that life is not easy. Some days flow smoothly, others feel heavy, and sometimes things are just confusing. We do what we can to support one another, and we want you to know that support is here for you too.

If you want a safe place to connect, you're always welcome in our Lonely Kids Club Club Facebook group if you're not already amongst it. It's filled with kind people who get it. You do not need to say anything if you are not up to it. Simply being part of a community can make a difference.

Looking after yourself is the sort of thing that is very easy to tell someone, but can be very hard in actual practice. We can't always control our feelings, but if possible, try to take time for yourself to do something that helps settle you. For me, it's always been drawing, and lately colouring in which I do with Frankie. If you're into that too, please check out our Free Downloads Page, for two separate colouring books with original designs by ourselves.

You're never alone in your feelings, there's always others who are going through the same thing, and you should always reach out for help when you need it, regardless of what day it is.

Love,
Warwick & The LKC Team <3

PS We do have a Mental Health Positive range available if browsing that is an activity you enjoy, but if not go out and do something that makes you happy.
