A slightly boring but important update: over the next month, we’ll be rolling out a small price increase across most of our products.
Our supplier has had more than ten price increases since we last did this, and we’ve absorbed those growing costs for as long as we possibly can. Printing supplies have also become more expensive, including the official OEKO-TEX-certified Epson inks we use. We don’t want to cut corners there either, as avoiding nasty chemicals and delivering the best quality has always been our priority.
I’ve always wanted LKC to remain as affordable as possible, even when that meant keeping our own margins very small. I actually take the lowest salary on the team. But we’ve reached a point where we can’t continue absorbing all of these rising costs without affecting the things that matter most to us.
This small increase will help us continue paying our staff and artists fairly, supporting charities, and operating LKC in an environmentally sustainable and ethical way It also allows us to keep offering the quality, care and values you’ve come to expect from us.
I know life is already expensive, so we’re keeping the increases as low as we can. I wanted to give you plenty of notice in case there’s anything you’ve had your eye on that you’d like to grab at the current price (maybe from bestsellers or new arrivals?)
