T-Shirts

If you're looking for funny T-shirts, fun shirts or graphic t shirts featuring amazing artwork you've come to the right place. If you're also looking for someone that makes all their tees ethically and sustainably too, you've definitely come to the right place. Lonely Kids Club and T Shirts go together like butter and bread. We were born to do this, and we're going to do it well.

We know T Shirts

We sell 100% cotton premium and ethically sourced T-shirts, and have been since 2011. Over this time we have Our tees have always been gender neutral, and we even print the tees ourselves in Sydney, and all pockets hand sewn in Sydney. As a bit of background, we made our first batch of T shirts back in 2010 using screen printing and water based inks. They were a usual batch of graphic tees with minimal designs that I made with an artist I met in Melbourne.

Funny story, I found him on Myspace, which was the top social media application in those days (Spoken like Grandpa Simpson) and I told him I wanted to start a clothing brand and he should do the first range. He said yes and I jumped on a plane to meet him. Turns out I didn't actually know what he looked like, or who he was, so getting to the airport and just looking at people was a poorly thought out plan. Luckily he found me and introduced himself and off we went.

I quickly realised this guy was also some sort of dealer, and I ended up staying on a soiled mattress in his garage with some of his other clients who wanted to use the product. But dammit I did what I had to for my original range and we managed to do five different drawings for new illustrated T shirts. I'm still proud of what we came up with. The very first design was called Come Home, and we still sell it on the site along with this one

Launching our T Shirt Website

With the new T-Shirt designs ready, my next step was finding a screen printer. Unfortunately, as a 20 year old kid with no real idea what he was doing (I had dropped out of university and could not hold down a job) I was a prime target for price gouging and looking back, I paid probably way too much for a batch of tees. We then found a web developer and put a little website together with all five T-shirts. Ultimately launched lonelykidsclub.com in March 2011 and closed out the year with 6 total sales.

But I was determined to not give up, so I went to markets every week, sold tees outside of tupperware containers outside gigs until I was chased away, and even sticker bombed local shopping areas with Lonely Kids Club stickers to get the word out. At this point, someone discovered my brand from one of our stickers on an onion, which remains one of my biggest achievements as a clothing brand.

All this hustle worked out, and I got enough capital together to do a second range of prints on half the blank T shirts I had purchased and not printed yet due to financial limitations. This time, I kept using the hand drawn scribbly aesthetic I began with, and still do with all my own designs but tried doing drawings inspired by memes and internet culture. This proved to be a bigger hit, and set a tone that we follow and believe all these years later. Although we've now moved to better AS Colour T Shirts, we've never forgotten our heritage, and all the things we learned to lead us to this point, of operating as an online T Shirt retailer for over 11 years now.

We Use High Quality Ethically Made Tees

We only use the best quality T-shirts for our brand that fit nicely, and last for years to come. They’re also ultra soft. Having premium staple tees is a core part of our brand. We almost exclusively work with AS Colour for completely ethically made quality tees, and Gildan / Comfort Colours who have greatly increased their levels of transparency and ethical certifications in recent years.

We have an amazing range of printed and graphic T Shirts

Although we began with just one artist doing one range every six months, we now have in-house artists, and partner with different artists that we vibe from around the world to give you one of the best collections of T Shirts on the internet of graphic tees that we are really proud of. The sort of designs to open conversations, get compliments and impress others without you needing to do anything more than poke your head and arms through a few holes. All our T Shirts currently include a neck hole for your head, because we all deserve to let our heads out of our T shirts, That's what we believe, anyway.

More than just standard T Shirts

We offer our classic staple tee, which is an easy fitting T shirt but also offer a wider range of styles now including a maple tee, which is more of a feminine fitting T Shirt. We also offer a long sleeve T Shirt variation for those who want something a bit warmer or like to keep their arms warm, as well as a cropped T Shirt which fits wider and is much shorter for a different styling. Most of our T Shirts offer all these styles, but if there's ever one missing, customers can always send us a message on the site and we can work out a custom solution. We also now offer also offer vintage T shirts which have a stone washed worn aged appearance, and a much boxier fit. They're also extremely soft. You can check them out in our Vintage Range

Cool T Shirt Designs

I just wanted to point out that I think we make cool T shirts that anyone can wear. A simple gender neutral goal of being able to allow people to easily wear their feelings or mood with a comfortable, high quality product. We have some bangers as well. Our T shirts fit the different categories of featuring memes, being rude, showcasing mental health positivity and we do a lot of food orientated T Shirts, as we are often hungry. I'm actually hungry right now.

Sustainability is at our heart

We only work with sweatshop free production partners that work towards environmental impact reduction and fair wages. We then print them ourselves on order after you order it so we can sustainably run our brand without producing waste. We use water based inks, no plastics and also recycle all leftover inks. We use recycled paper, recycle all cardboard, and also use completely biodegradable mailing satchels that are made of corn. Lastly, we use Bargain bin promotions to sell misprinted or damaged T shirts, so no clothing is ever wasted. All our clothing is used and we additionally upcycle old discarded fabrics to reduce wastage. Plus as of 2021, Lonely Kids Club is also completely carbon neutral.

We print our own T shirts

Once your tees are personally printed by us, in our sydney based T shirt printing studio that features the latest digital garment printing solutions in the market, we ship them out to you with your free note, drawing and magnet. You’ll notice they’re very soft to feel and comfortable to wear. The tees will last for years to come as well as the prints if cold washed inside out. So have a browse of our huge T-shirt collection as there’s something in there for everyone!
