Blog About Blogs

Hell yeah, it's been 14 years of Lonely Kids Club now. Once upon a time, one of the main things that the brand was known for were these weekly blog posts I used to do (that I put so much work into for some reason) even though often it felt like I was talking to an empty room and the Facebook posts would get 8 likes from my own accounts (which I still do of course.) I feel like there's a lot of old gems in there, so a bit like your favourite montage episode, here's a few of my favourites from the past 14 years.

Intention to Learn

1. Intention To Learn - This is a painfully true and awkward story that sums up what I was like in High School. I don't know whether it was the ADD or the anxiety (Maybe both?) but I just had no fkn idea what was going on most of the time.

Hair Care

2. Hair Care - Getting let go for assisting someone stealing hair gel was one of my best firings (And there were a lot.) The way they let me go was quite comical; they gave me a $19.95 men's haircare set and said they were "making me redundant." At the time I was quite chuffed with the men's haircare set.

3. Life In Pictures - This is more of a series of images than a regular post, but it captures a funny time in my life back in 2012. I hadn't met my wife yet so my room was basically bare - except for an N64 and TV on a stool I found outside a friend's house. It also shows screenshots from the time LKC was "working" with The Iconic and just stopped sending out orders and instead began emailing them about my dogs over and over.

Trivia Night

4. Trivia Night  - I just like this one because it was a literal nightmare situation for me to be sitting alone at a trivia event having to tell people my friends were coming. I'm sure other people can pull this off confidently, and props to you. But I'm not one of those people.

Buses Suck

5. Buses Suck - I think this one resonates with me solely because I still hate buses so much. The other day, Frankie asked me if we could take the bus somewhere and I said no. It probably does stem from how much frustration they gave me growing up. So now we know.

Anyway I hope at least one of those stories tickled your fancy. It's kinda like a little time capsule back to another time 10+ years ago when blogging was still cool and people were still pushing for a Myspace revival (RIP)
