Well well well welcome back to another blog post by Warwick talking about my favourite T-shirts on the site. I literally wear all LKC all the time so I love putting these lists together which detail my wardrobe and my bedroom floor where I unfortunately choose to pick up and wear worn T-shirts out of sheer laziness.
We've made it a big focus on the LKC site to try hone down on all our different categories of clothing because we're churning out a lot of ranges (Our passion for clothing). So in this edition, I thought I'd shout out one of our newest categories, cat tees. A purr-fect selection for even the most fussy feline lover.
We were lucky enough to get Mexico based artist PPMID onboard last year and got access to his incredible catalog of T-shirt designs, which included many cat designs as he's a lover of cats, Japanese culture, and clever design concepts. I feel like all the elements overlap perfectly in this one.
There are few things as symbolic as the Lucky Cat! The full colours on this one really pop out too on the butter vintage tee. If you haven't tried out one of vintage tees yet I can't recommend them enough. They're soft, enzyme washed to look more worn and have an amazing boxy fit.
Oh what's the matter, buddy? Cat got your soul? Bummer. Enjoy a life of damnation in the eternal depths of feline hell where humans must bow down to the demands of the cat overlords and do their bidding. Oh, sorry, I got carried away there. It's a nice tee, though.
And now for something completely different, I just really like the aesthetic on this one. The art style makes it stand out in a nice subtle way with pastel colours that blend in perfectly to the ecru colour. I just find this tee very versatile and easy to wear.
Every now and then you see a T-shirt that makes you go "oh dang, this really is a vibe." and I think this is one of those times. I mean how rad is that cat. Chilling on a skateboard, AND wearing sunnies? I can only ever hope to one day be that rad. Here's hoping.
I don't think I could put a list together without the OG fuck off cat tee in there. This is from an old collection of drawings I posted up on Insta years ago of what I thought different animals would say if they could talk and everyone immediately clung to this one. It's been a fixture on our site ever since.
This was an in-house design by Claire based on the idea of doing something to represent the endearing side of cats, who can clumsily get themselves stuck in predicaments just as well as any humans can. They're relatable creatures like that.
I just think this one is so cute. The little cats are all in and around sushi. How crazy! How did they even get in there? The last time I had sushi I took it home and realised they forgot my soy sauce but it was okay because I had some in my fridge.
And there you have it! Warwick's top Cat Tees featuring loose descriptions that may or may not have anything to do with the T-shirts pictured. Look I'll level with you I'm a dog person, I've always had dogs and the first cat I ever got to know scratched the shit out of me. But I've changed. I've bonded with friend's cats, visited cat cafes and now I write blog posts about them in the hopes that my soul will not be stolen by one due to my showing of cat adoration.
