With Earth Day upon us, I thought I'd take a hot minute to reflect on sustainability and why it remains at the core of the brand. Sustainability isn’t just a checkbox, it's a part of all decisions that we make. We’ve ditched the plastic for compostable mailers – because let’s face it, who needs more plastic hanging around? And while soft plastic recycling seems to be a bit of a puzzle these days, compostable mailers are like a breath of fresh air.
Our business is based on printing on demand in-house, ensuring we only make what’s needed, reducing waste and saving resources. It also allows us to be across the full process and have higher quality than drop-shippers. When it comes to printing, we opt for water-based ink and pretreatment because, well, we’re all about keeping it clean and green. We partner with AS Colour who are rated within the most ethically transparent clothing manufacturers in the world and lead the way on sustainability initiatives.
Oh, and let’s not forget about our misprinted garments. I know I never do. Instead of letting them gather dust in a warehouse somewhere, we give them a second chance in our bargain bin. It’s not just about saving a few bucks – it’s about giving these clothes the chance to shine and finding them a home where they’re appreciated.
Have you ever noticed how we skip that whole individual packaging thing? It’s not (just) because we’re lazy – it’s also because we genuinely believe that less is more when it comes to waste. So when you snag something off the site, whether it’s from the bargain bin or fresh off the press, know that you’re not just buying a product (Thanks for that, tho) – you’re joining us in our mission to make a real difference for our planet. Happy Earth Day, gang gang.
