LKC JACKET EMPORIUM FINAL EVENT – WE HAVE 10 PARKA JACKETS LEFT FROM OVER THE YEARS – THIS IS THE LAST EVER CHANGE TO BUY AN LKC PARKA JACKET.
WE HAVE ONE M JACKET LEFT
A year or so ago, I went shopping to try buy a new parka jacket. I found that all the ones I liked were about $300, made in China anyway, and I felt like rather than paying for the quality of the garment, I was just paying extra for the store space, the staff, their investors etc. I figured I could do better. I realised I could make a better quality product for half the price, hand make it in Melbourne, and make my own personal touches like using burnt wooden buttons, and personally choosing my own inner-lining fabric.
Welcome to the LKC Duck jacket.
We made this as a custom jacket for a customer who swapped sizes. So it features a really nice bright ducks fabric in the hood and inside pocket which contrasts against navy fabric, and antique buttons. It’s a really nice colour combo.
As always I added the feature that you can keep your hands warm behind the front pocket. I also did an industry no-no and used a 100% cotton rayon as inner-lining instead of a polyester blend because it’s just so nice and soft to wear. Plus I’m still using my special stash of 100% Australian cotton twill as outer-lining. The company that used to make it went under but I stocked up in advance. I figure if I’m going to make a parka, I’m going to do it properly.
It’ll keep you warm, dry (can confirm) & when the fabric runs out it’s gone for good / will never be re-released after this season.
